Scandi Ground Liner Lock Folder.

I have wanted to buy an Emerson A-100 and send it to Tom Krein for a Scandi Grind. Now that, would be an awesome folder!

I just got a mini A100 and as is, it's the perfect edc to trail knife that I've been looking for. A scandi grind like the one Joe posted would be pretty sweet and it suits the whole shape and feel of the knife I think.

I love the Emerson A100....

Ive been kicking around the idea of buyin one and having a tool steel scandi ground blade made for it....The Ti liners, textured scales and simple shape make it one hell of a nice blade.

Of your 2....Id go Boker.

That's interesting but unless I'm missing something I can't tell if it's a locking blade or not. The drawings aren't really clear one way or the other.

I did find some pics here that appear to show a lock but they aren't the best either.

Liner lock.
These are finally in production apparently and should be available soon

If you have a little patience and can talk him into it, Ray Laconico wants to make some linerlocks. Imagine a linerlock from him with O1 or 1095 blade.

Thank you very much Marthinus for your input. I will consider contacting him and see if he would be willing to do this. Good to hear that you have been using this knife and it appears comfortable in all multiple grips.

I will post some pictures up when I get back to my PC for you to give you some idea of the knife in hand. (I am currently struggling with a 56k modem and its just torture to try and upload anything as it keeps redialing! :( )

I would really appreciate that. I will be waiting to see some in hand shots when you can.

Thanks, Paul

I remember the folders he made a while back. I can't wait to see what he turns out this time.

It would be cool if he reprises his HWK blade shape in a folder. I'd be in for one of those.

I hope this helps btw. I have L hands.

I like the looks of the Boker and have been considering one for EDC, but I am the opposite end of the opinion from fortytwoblades. I think the Buck's shape would be more comfortable, for me anyway, for gripping and leverage in cutting away because of the thickness/meatiness at the back. I think it would be more stable and comfortable against the pocket of the palm. One thing I dislike about my WK-1 is the clip; it isn't comfortable during use and I took it off. Maybe if it were at the back like the Buck, it would be better. But, if not, I'd loose it.

Just bought one of these on ebay for $61 and i couldn't be happier with it. It's my new EDC now. Great knife!

The ENZO linerlock scandi folder is a really useful blade. 3"

Locks up really tight and the blade deploys as fast as an auto for me.

HD do you have a pic of it closed? All the pics i can find are in the open position.
How close is the button to the frame?
I want to buy the knife but i'm not crazy about button openers, especially when the button rests right up against the frame in the closed position.
I wish they had left a little guard on the blade like on the Buck Vanguard, that way you could bypass the button and flip it open.

Nice knife! Who makes these again? I'm doing an ebay search and WK-1 is not giving me any results.

I'll try to take a pic of it that way soon.

Svord, for sure. Mine is steadily becoming scandi ground as I have time to sharpen it. Scandi ground my Ranger Shank last night as well, turned out great. My Nicholson file is begging for rest, I'm fully convinced that the Nicholson file is one of the top 10 hand tools in existance.
