Scandi Kershaw Cryo

Neither the Cryo nor the Cryo II are scandi ground. Rather, hollow ground sabres.

The cryo is a fine design but it is not scandi and uses a low quality steel that does not hold a edge any better then I hold a tune.

cryo would probably be the worst woods knife. budget steel that don't hold an edge, speedsafe that the speedsafe can break and blade geometry are not right. even if you were to get a regrind, it still is not great for a woods knife.

best to get a Mora.

As a last ditch knife, I bet it'd do what you need it to. As a purposeful woods knife, you're best bet is to look at something else. The aforementioned Mora would work great, I'm really digging my Tops Mini Scandi as a little whittler. Tough little neck knife with a legit scandi grind.

Both of those would be a lot better suited for that type of work than a Cryo. I mean I use my Ritter mini grip in woods when I need to, but I'd much rather have my MSK to do that type of stuff.

I don't think it will work, but good luck. Post pictures of your work please.

Im looking at my Cryo right now, regrinding it to a scandi will require the removal of a significant portion of the blade. I'd be interested in seeing pics of how yours comes out.
