Yep, I woke up this morning feeling thankful for all that I have: an awesome woman, a boatload of great kids, a successful business, the ability to walk out my door into the woods, and more scandis that you can shake a stick at!

This morning after breakfast, only one of the kids wanted to go hiking, so she and I set out. The weather is very warm for upstate NY and a little hazy (you can see in the pics). I brought my 780, a Brusletto, and a scandi with spring release finger guard. I don't who made finger guard model as it was a gift, but it is a feature a really like.

In any case Happy Thanksgining and God Bless!

BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY... nice pics, great blades, congrads on all your success... Where abouts in upstate are you??

wonderful photos, just outta curiosity what kinda bag do ya got there.

cheers

The bag is a Maxpedition Devil Dog. It is actually a lumbar bag, but I wear it with an after-market shoulder strap (on my shoulder). These are great, Maxpedition has discontinued this line (don't know why!), so if you want one, search the net because there are still some available.

What is Stromeng's blademark, my knife appears to have a couple of letters but it is hard to make out. The retractable guard seems to provide tension to keep the knife snugly in the sheath in addition to opening into a guard. I like finger guards, the sharpest knife I own is a small Brusletto (I'll post a pic sometime) but when the handle gets wet, it's a little scary.

Ravaillac,

Thanks for the links. I think you're right, I didn't see anything that looked like my knife. I guess it will remain a mystery for a while.....

MMotorcycle,

Thanks. I am big fan of the NE.
