SCANDINAVIAN Picture thread.....

Snotty weather, blood....more snotty weather....still looks like a great time. I bet everyone's planning for the next time already.
Thanks for all the pics!

Everyone is planning for next time, the young Steffen will be provided with cut-rescistant gloves and we will make offerings to the Gods for better weather...
AND,,,,, we will try to arrange this a month or so earlier next year......

For those of you wanting to come over the pond, you need to learn the ancient Norselanguage of the vikings......NOOOOOOOOOO,
English is good, we all speak it (varying quality, but wee all speak it)....
You are most welcome to the gathering, we want as many attendees as possible you know.
Number of partisipants were a little short this time around, but we will mark that up as a "first time thing"...

Not our farm, but we rented it from Lennoxs friends dad, a cool old dude, who joined us for a drink and a cigar Saturday night.
He also got his first Becker as a token of gratitude from us. (He was sporting the BK5 for the rest of the evening, LOL)

Thanks for posting this, an inspiration to those of us on the other side of the Atlantic. 😀👍

Ready to post some pics from the event.

As mentioned before, it was a killer good time!

And thank you, mr. Becker for sending us a big box of blades!
I took home a super cool BK15 for finishing in 2nd in the "1-stick-fire contest"
Plus a Becker Necker.

My first ever Becker knives, and I must say, those are some great little blades.
Used the BK15 to prepare a duck for dinner last night, and it excelled!

Wow. I've been wanting to go to that part of the world, and you guys make it look worth the trip. I like the tables full of steel, and the area looks really relaxing.

I hope I can attend one of your gatherings some day. Thanks for sharing!

Looks to have been a grand time........ Love that table full of axes..... I would come home with no money but rich in axes...... Love the pix.......

I am so glad that it was such a good time......... I do hope to join you sometime......

Those axes actually belonged to the man, who owned the place we were at.

There were axes in every nook and cranny of that house!

We used a big ol' Becker in the Chop-off.
Can't remember which it was...

Chopping contest knife was my trusty old BK9...
After chopping through that two by four 15 times, it still shaved armhair.... Holy smoke what a blade.....
Only damage to the blade was a slight s-shaped bend to the edge( probably from hitting a really hard knot with a twist to the blade...)
Tried hammering it i to shape with a ballpeen hammer tonight, and it straightened right back to true...
Amazing steel in these knives.

Thank you som much Ethan (and KaBar) for the amazing knives you make, and the incredible box of goodies we got for prizes in the contests....

hmmm...
SWMBO has a friend in Halmstad, Sweden she's been wanting to visit for years.
it's only a 4 1/2 hour drive from there to Oslo...

Ok, here are my pics from the meet.

This is where we slept.

inside. Ground floor.

Where some of us slept. (that's my bag)

Upstairs. Kind of big lounge area. Can't see it in the pics, but some of the long tables were covered in knives. :)

That settles it. Ethan is going to have to pick up his game on accommodations at Half Moon Ridge. :D
