The little bearded hatchet is done and ready to ship. The viking war axe still needs some work on haft and edge. The hatchet is 1 pound 3 oz with 11 inch ash haft and 3.25" cutting edge. The bigger one has 19" hop hornbeam haft (the locals call it 'ironwood' and is the traditional hafting material for my region). The total weight is 1 pound 8 oz and the cutting edge is 4" long. Both are forged from 1" square 5160 via hot punch and drift method.
The war axe should be completed on Monday and further pictures will be available.
