SCANDINAVIANS!!! First annual bladeforums-gathering weekend!!!!

Up until now there have been very little interrest in this gathering.
For now we are 4 or 5 for sure. But I sure hope the weekend wil give us some more response....
 
I tried to arrange a similar event in Denmark, last year.
It took a lot of nudging, but we ended up with some 20 guys meeting up.

The cool thing about such meet-up, is that even though everybody are complete stangers to you, common ground is found instantly.
 
That's what I'm hoping Rasmus. Good times a little bit of competition,good people, some drinks and stories around the fire....
And last but not least, get to fondle knives you haven't thought cant before....
I'm waiting for a busse NMFBM now, it will be my main user. So up for grabs if someone want to use it.
I know Lennox has about a ton of INFI with him, including a couple of moabs...
I will also bring a blade I made myself, it weighs in at 1.2kg oh 2.4. Pounds, anyone want to test out this beast is welcome to.....
Guess my knifebag to this gathering will be about 20-25 kg.. That's 40-50pounds for you non metric guys I think...
 
I'm in. Looking forward to it, late september should be a nice time in the woods of Norway.
 
Hayman, Friday you'll have to come to moderne kjøling.
Got my NMFBM in bringing it there for show and tell. Haha...
 
Bobber, I may have a surprise too. Anyway I'll try to make it to MK friday, are swamped in work in this heat! I'd love to hold that NMFBM:)
 
Hey everyone, I`m meeteing up with Lennox tomorrow for some last planning (and some knife-abuse, lol)
More details will be posted tomorrow night or Thursday...
I can tell you that Uncle Ethan Becker has told me he will send some stuff to use as prizes,
We might have some more stuff, but that will have to stay a surprise until I get to meet Lennox tomorrow...

I would be cool with camping out.
It is right after I have spent a week hiking in Sarek Natioalpark.

So if I don't perish up there, I'm there.

Ok guys, a little update....
We are as of now 12-15 attendees, to this gathering, but I think maybe more will come when the date closes in...
We are hoping for a weekend of good times, good food, good "drinks", fun contests andnew friendships..
Lennox and me will bring a buttload of blades for testing and maybe trading/selling, if any of you guys want to do the same it would be
A great opportunity to test blades you`ve seen online and wondered about...
We hope to be able to arrange some "classes" if any of you guys have some knowledge you would like to share with the others..
Attendees are one danish guy, some swedes and some norwegians for now..
I just emailed Ethan Becker with an update too, and to give him some details on the customs procedures we have to go through..
Can`t wait to meet you guys in person, the waiting period is going WAY to slow....
If this gathering go as planned, this WILL become a yearly gathering....

The New date will be 17-19 October, this means that we will hold the gathering on the farm (no problem) because of the unstable weather.

We need thid to male sure you get transportation to the HoDown.....
we have plenty of guys driving by Gardermoen Airport, so please let us know, so we can have soeone pick you up....

WOOHOO Uncle Ethan and the Ka-Bar crew have gone and done it again....
Just got message that a box of 8kg (16 pounds) is waiting to be picked up.
This will be used as prizes and such at the meeting...

Cant wait to pick it up and see what`s inside..

Hope to make it to Bladeshow next year to thank you guys in person..
