Scared I am going to make a mistake buying my XM-18 3.5

I have a XM-18 3.5 slicer non flipper. Its a big knife for a folder in terms of mass. Very sturdy. I say go for the slicer, still thick enough to cut and pry, if needed. I think the flipper may be more useful if you will be using thick winter gloves. Studying my knife I can see the knives were made for military, fire, rescue, police who use gloves in the field.
