Somebody please put this stout little knife to work!
Schenk Knives Trailhead in stonewashed Elmax w/ G10 handle scales and leather vertical sheath
It’s roughly 6.5” long, w/ about 3” of cutting edge.
Great feeling, handy little blade, but I’m going another direction w/ all my fixed blades (tool steels are more my thing).
Carried once, but for 8 days straight, on a trip last year. It was not my primary on that trip, so it saw very little use (some limited, very light cutting, and feathered a little wood). Still has factory edge in good shape. The only critical observations I can make is that there are some black inclusions/flecks on the blade (zoom in and look), that I cant explain. I doubt they are oxidation, as this is Elmax, and they were present when I received the knife new from the manufacturer. The only other issue is some scuffing on the heel of the g10 scale, as pictured below, which is the result of it banging around against my loadout while I was carrying it. Purely cosmetic.
These were only about $105 new for the Elmax variant, but I had to wait months to get my hands on it, and from what I can tell, they’re sold out everywhere now.
I am asking $SOLD including USPS priority shipping CONUS only
Includes the sheath and the signed authenticity/warranty card.
For an extra $XX ($xxx total), I’ll include the small ‘sig-tac’ fixed blade pictured below the trailhead. Comes w/ kydex belt-clip sheath. I stippled the scales a little w/ a soldering iron. Doesn’t look professional, but helps get a good purchase on that little handle. Don’t know the type of steel on this one, something cheap though. Still has factory edge. Don’t think I’ve ever used it for anything other than a backup to a backup lol.

* trying to move this on to make room for a couple new fixed blades I’m having made, and am willing to consider offers, both cash, and trade for folders.
** Also have an Esee3 UC w/ kydex & paperwork. It’s had a custom patina pattern forced on to the blade. I’d be willing to make a sweet deal on the package
