What are the issues involved with buying a knife from a European site (http://www.kniferesearch.com)?

The knife I'm interested in is 220 Euros, which translates to about $276 dollars. How much additional shipping, customs, etc., should I expect to pay? Is this a bad idea? Basically nobody in the US currently has this blade in stock, at least not that I could find on the web. I tried pinging the site but couldn't get a clear answer on customs costs.

Do not use General for this type of question. The rules for the forum are quite simple and stuck in a thread at the top of the forum.

I have ordered knives directly from Italy and Germany. On average I have paid 10 euros ($13) for shipping. The knives from Germany were hassle free with no extra fees. The knife from Italy arrived quickly, but at the end of the year I received a bill from customs (I think) for about $17. It seems like customs fees are not collected at the time of sale, but when the item arrives in the country, based on the value of the item. Not a big deal really. Are you buying the Rasul?
