School Me on the ASH-1 Variants

Does it not have a different longer blade? Maybe I'm thinking of something else. I am still new to this lol!

Anyone have any pictures? Maybe that is actually what I need. I don't know what I was thinking of.

The other B.I.G. finish that was offered in the Ganza was the FSH (longer blade for sure) so maybe that is where the confusion on blade length is coming from.

So what exactly is the BIG finish? I mean I realize it stands for Busse Industrial Grade Finish, but what does that mean?

Basically, with the standard satin finish you have a ton of microscopic scratches running from edge to spine in a straight line. With the BIG finish, the scractches are much deeper/wider, they appear circular rather than straight lines also. Seems to show wear less, yet is less attractive (to most) than a regular satin finish.

I just think of it as a brushed finish, but a more coarse brushed finish than you would normally see, so the brush lines in the metal are more prominent. It was a more economic finish to apply I am told because it is faster to apply with no time spent polishing.

From everything you describe, the B.I.G. ASH1 is your ticket, because it was offered very recently in the more affordable industrial grade finish. It is the mid weight blade stock like you want.

Google that knife and you will see many examples of it and other knives with that finish.

I'm gonna go for a BIG ASH I think!

This shits addictive - just got my TGLB a week ago, then got a Rainwalker Leather and a SpecOps for it, now looking for an ASH, then gonna need a sheath for it lol!
