School Violence

Gents I think that they should invent a game called "Pong" The Statistics version .

I am not making light of these tragedies or your trying to bracket them into understandable groups . We often try to find reason in the unreasonable . It is the statistics themselves and what they mean .


Munk made a telling point which I know I refer to a lot . This is the last time . It seems firearm legislation is designed to separate their useage into small manageable groups which can therefor have their particular useage or misuseage banned without raising the ire of many . After all only a small or at least smaller percentage of the population is affected .

Divide and conquer .

From now on I will look at all legislation with a more critical eye . (whether it concerns me in particular or not)

Tragedies have occured . They will always occur . If there is an increase in frequency that is not just cyclic it is more a comment on society than the method involved .
 
It is very sad that in only 50 years we've watched our world change for the worse in how we treat each other. We're a long way from the school boys who'd bring their .22's and shotguns to school so they could hunt their way home. Now we have many more homicides, mass murders, and even a pocketknife is not allowed near a school.

One of the reasons I post here is the different lifestyles represented . Lifestyles is too small a word . You get the idea . Bringing a shotgun to school to hunt your way home ? The idea is not foreign or alien to me . It sounds so right . The impossibility of doing it today in most cases is what gave me pause . For that split second I said W:T:F: and then it just sounded right .

As for a Garrand ? If that is the 30:06 I have only shot it single shot . I can,t imagine it rapid fire . It must make an S:K:S: feel like a 22 .
 
It's semi auto, Kevin. Each press of the trigger a bullet is in motion.
I had one go full auto on me by accident. It was fun.

I'd fire AK 47.........felt good.....but target felt better......it was nice and clean...I missed it completely...:p
