Like some of the other folks have said, 20 bucks was a cheap lesson on eBay. At least you weren't one of the folks who thought they were getting a good deal, then found out that they had just purchased the BOX for the item they wanted.
On the bright side, sometimes you can get a good deal because of the seller's inexperience with the item they are selling. It is hard to go to a show and get a steal from a knife dealer, because they generally know what they've got.
