I have been getting a bit behind on my orders, but since I work at a school, and school is out, I have had time to really spend on knives. Here are the fruits of the last 2 weeks labor.

VERY NICE!!!! The whole package is nice but I really like the file work.On all of them.Great job.

I'd say all of those are winners and will find happy homes. Nice variety of handle and blade shapes, they all look well made sturdy knives.

That blue box elder burl looks beautiful on a knife

Good guess, it is on it's way. The blade looks blacker in the picture than it is in real life. Hope you like it.

Thanks for the comments guys. I love the box elder burl. It think it is the nicest wood I have worked with so far (thanks Spearz!)

Nice work. The fillework is great on all of them.

They really look like they all will fill the hand nicely

Very rarely do I make a knife anymore that doesnt have filework. I think it adds so much to a knife, and really separates them from production knives. I know some people dont like it, but I do. :)

Matt makes fantastic knives. They are utterly heavy duty, but they fit the hand so well its like there is nothing there. The pics simply don't do these things justice folks.

First of all, thanks for the comments and the little plug, stage 2.

I realized through an email that I may not have been clear in my representation of these knives. 3 of them are orders, and the rest are knives I made for fun. I normally make 1 "just for the heck of it" knife for every 3 orders I make. It keeps knifemaking from turning into a job. (not that I mind orders, but I like the creativity in making a knife exactly how I want it). I am going to meet my knifemaking mentor next week, and am taking the knives with me to show progress. I will probably post them on the for sale section when I get back.

Matthew, great work as usual. I carry my little "worker/fighter" that I got from you about a year ago every day, I use the hell out of it, and it is great. I really need to save up and order one of your bigger knives, as posted here, damn they are nice!!! You have the blade design/grind down great! 47

Thanks guys. I am glad the knife is holding up well for you 47 knuckle.

Tedwca, a few of them (including 2 that you have in the post) will be going on the for sale section tomorrow.

Is that second one mine? I sure hope so. The rest of the knives look great. Look forward to buying another from you.

Halfserrated, only if you are Mr. Hester. In that case, you are correct and the 2nd one will be on its way to you tomorrow.
