Hello!

This is a variation on my EDC models. It has a nice handle shape that I love and feels secure and great in the hand. I finished the damascus in a polish similar to what I do with clay coated blades, which gives it a beautiful polished finish rather than a typical dark etch that is given to damascus.

The ironwood is very high quality. It has been finished to 2000 grit and given a VERY light buff...its smooth as glass and parts move under sunlight like cat's eye.

Knife Specs:
Blade: 5160/52100/15N20 “Alabama Damascus”
Handle: Desert Ironwood burl, extremely high polish finish.
Length: 7” overall, 3” cutting edge
Pins: Nickel silver/copper mosaic and nickel silver thong tube
Sheath: 9oz, deep red/brown dyed, hand tooled. Waxed stitching.
Lifetime Sharpening/Cleanup

Price: $250 Shipped USPS Priority with Insurance SOLD
Paypal strongly preferred.

I feel when it comes to pics of custom knives for sale, more is always better than less, so heres 7 pics!

thats amazing!! the combo of the damascus and the wood really look amazing together!! Love that handle shape too! great work!!

The Ironwood knife looks as BEAUTIFUL as the Amboyna wood knife!! And the Damascus is GEORGOUS as well !! The lines look like it would fit the hand for work as easily as it steals the eye!!

eeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwww....that's puuurrdy;)

No weak link in that knife. Steel, wood, sheath, the shapes on all three...you put together a very nice piece there. Well down.

Wow thanks for all the kind comments!

I am working in the shop today finishing up two more of these in some crazy burls, as well, but this one will still need a home before those get done :)

O.K. Dave, i'll take it. please PM me with PP info and i'll get back to you re sheath modification. roland

Great knife and great materials. I like the contouring and grain in that ironwood. It goes with the damascus pattern well. The dye you used for the sheath is a cool mixture too. Congrats to the buyer. Judging from the number of views of this thread I'm surprised it lasted this long.

now paid via PP. this will be a gift to a young friend, one of Canada's top Olympic athletes. an excellent knife for an exceptional individual ! roland

i pick up this knife at P.O. in Northport WA. yesterday, but have been too busy to open it until now.
i am a bit stunned, mesmerized. this is no "ordinary" custom knife. the Damascus blade is absolutely beautiful and the Iromwood handle, so highly polished, it's beauty is stunning. together, they become more than the sum of their parts; absolute breath taking, perfect harmony.
the ergonomics of the handle sculpting and blade size and shape, is again perfection.
and SHARP, i have never held a blade so truly "scary" sharp. just touch my arm hairs and they actually seem to "pop" off in front of the approaching edge.
the sheath is excellent and sturdy with perfect fit. David kindly modified the sheath to allow for belt carry.
i have about 10 custom FBs, some double the price of this, but none is close to the perfection, sharpness and "magic" of this knife.
David, i thank you profoundly. you are an artist and Master Craftsman.
i have used these words, but truly feel deeply moved and speechless.
this beauty and harmony must be what even the most accomplished knifemakers strive for, but fully succeed like this, only on occassion. roland
