I have a orange handle 206 barlow that I received around 25 years ago. i have seen others like it with the exception that the tang is differant. Instead of saying Schrade it is marked S.C.C USA 206. Any one know why the differance?
The S.C.C. stamp was most often used on limited editions beginning in the early to mid 1970's. The other stamps were for regular production. Best I can do without seeing examples of each.
Ok thanks. I have a friend that has the same exact knife plus broken blade that is marked schrade. Maybe I can get him to let me borrow his knife and will post a picture of both side by side. I would ask if being a limited edition if this woild increase the value but its seen pretty hard use.
