I saw this Schrade Walden 834 stockman just as the auction was closing Sunday afternoon, placed a bid I was comfortable with and surprisingly won. It arrived in today's mail, and this staglon handled stockman is very nearly identical to the propwood handled 832 I already have.

The only differences besides handle material are the 834 clip blade is 1/8" longer (I already knew my 832 had been shortened), the third blade on the 834 is a spey in place of the pen on the 832, and the tang stamps.

Here is a comparison of the tang stamps. The 832 has the pattern number stamped on the opposite side of the blade.

Doug, I have nearly the same knife like you

It´s a great tool :) I really like it and got it as a gift from Wayne (Peruna1998).

Thank you for posting the comparison pics with you wooden handled Schrade, a great looking tool, too! :)

EDIT: Uups... it seems I have another version from Schrade, there´s SS825 stamped on the tangstamp, I believe, as long as I can read it. However - a great knife :)

That's a nice one Andi! I am already enjoying this one (and the sheepsfoot has already sliced into a finger!).
