• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Schrade 881 and Old timer 80t

I have a sabre ground Camillus 72 here. It has mirror polished blades and a matchstrike. Older Schrades often do have a crocus finished front on the master blade. The Cami has quite an upsweep on the end of the clip. This one is from around 1946 or so. I have to say though, the 881 swedge on mine is pure vintage Schrade (swedge grind will start close to the beginning of the nail nick), Camillus did their swedges different, more like Ulster and Imperial (starting point is at the end of the nick...) This one is does have a nice long pull too. Quite a blade.

Can someone please tell me how to clean the drool out of my keyboard?

I have an 881 coming in the mail to me, should get it this weekend or next week. NIB, jigged delrin. Going right in the pocket.

There is a + denoting stainless on mine, it must be a later SFO model. I got a good deal on it, and will carry it. I get excited for just about every blade I buy or trade into, but very excited to get this one.

What stainless did they use? 440C or 420?

This was the 881 SFO with the SCHRADE+ marking, 2002 or 2003 mfg date I think...

I have one with a clip blade where your coping is and a coping placed in the same position as your pen?
