Schrade 89OT

I never knew the Genuine bone 80T was only made for the first year of production-1959. Here's mine......

Here's when the 80T came out 1961, with the other original Schrade Walden Old Timer:

Occasionally, one still surfaces in the original hinged woodgrain box, just not by me yet. :)

Embrace the carbon, I like that.[/QUOTE]

Same here. That phrase exudes confidence, superiority, and an air of inevitability too.

My Schrade 34OT, arguably the first traditional slipjoint I received, still gets regular pocket time.

Very cool advertising sheet. That 20T looks like an interesting knife. I've seen a Schrade Cut Co. with SCHRADE stamped in the bottom bolster, but never a Schrade Walden with OLD TIMER on the bolster. Very interesting.

Now I'm wondering.....what is the significance of the Old Timer logo? Somewhere I have an old KA-BAR trapper etched OLD TIMER'S TRAPPER KNIFE. It's pre WW2 vintage. Could this "Old Timer" Marketing logo have been sold to Schrade by KA-BAR after the war?

Some of my Buck knives cousins were visiting from back east recently. I got this family photograph, they were only just visiting. After a spell of RandR they felt renewed and resharpened and will returning back home. The one especially appreciated the mineral oil spa, followed by the mustard skin patina treatment. 300

I lucked out on this one at a gun show last year.

Schrade has also made some nice stainless blades. Here's one made by Schrade with the New York Knife Co. brand:
