Just looking for some advice, there is a schrade barlow for sale at a shop.
The asking price is 50 but i dont think its worth it. The guy claims its a 1954 never been used. But he also says (deep anf it has) been sharpened

Sorry i cant post pics but what do you think? Worth it or not?

I'm sorry but I'm not following the part of your post that I put in bold letters.

I'd say that $50.00 is not too much to pay for a Schrade Barlow made in 1954 or even into the 60s and 70s. Are the covers bone, composite, wood, etc.? That would affect the price somewhat.

This might be better asked over in the Schrade Collector part of the Blade Forums. I only say that because that's where the experts hang out. Your question is certainly ok here but they know much more about Schrade over there.
