Here's an odd one. It's a folding V chisel c.1950 based on the tang stamp. I've been trying to find some info about this tool but I can't find a pattern name/number or anything at all about it - not even a picture of another one like it on the net. Has anyone here ever seen one of these?
I found one of those on a job where i had to tear out 100+ year old pine floors and it was still razor sharp and you could see where they used it to scribe certain parts of the joints. It is the equavilent of a modern day scraper. I tried using it at first and it was really hard to handle but I use it sometimes for more detailed work. Its a handy tool for woodworking because its very accurate. Its hard to use but harder to sharpen.
