I'm sure we had one of these way back, but I thought I'd start a new one. Let's see your Schrade Cut Co's!

Here's a few to kick this off.

Yep! good idea Glenn! I'll agree with that.

Superb condition on that old Utility knife Hal.

Have not posted these pics for some time.

Hal, that camper is sweet!

Russ, those 3 are awesome. The TL-29 looks solid. I have one similar, and this older version with the lock where you push down on the closed blade to release. (I need a shield for mine though)

Thos 2 equal ends are outstanding, especially the pearl!

Holy cow TR! I am drooling. Now I know where all the sweet Cut Co's went! You have some very nice examples.

In regards to the fixed blade, there are not many that I have seen. I know that Larry303 has the 2 different sizes. And I think I traded one away to Michael or someone years ago. But I haven't seen these in any Schrade catalog. Maybe someone else has some info on them.

The Schrade Cut Co Fixed blade knives have now been identified by structure and sheaths as being made by Kinfolks....I have 3 different pattern/length knives..very well made...dont wish to sound unappreciative but I suspect I have several hundred Cut Co's... so do I do a table full photo shoot?....Hoo Roo

Indeed, the early SCC and Imperial knives I have been able to identify the maker of, are patterns produced by Kinfolks.

ETA: I meant to say sheath knives, not pocket knives.

Some good looking knives gentlemen!! I do like that folding hunter Calvin. The pearl penknife came at very nice price, one of those lucky days. I think I would have to call it a Schrade Cut Co Glenn. Good pick there.

i didn't realise but i had one also. took the scanner and tried it, so here it is not sure of pattern number?

Here's a model 2153 , steel bolsters and liners, nice bone handles and great walk and talk.

In the 1926 catalog there are several models listed with steel bolsters and liners. I thought I read something about there being restrictions on brass and some other alloys around that time or maybe just shortages but I am known for misquoting historical facts so maybe someone more knowledgeable can add to that.

That was during the year or so leading up to our entrence into WWII, the war years and the year after or so. Appx. 1939-40 to 1946-47. Steel wasn't restricted in 1926, but it was less expensive than brass and nickel.
