Schrade Cut Co only picture thread

Time to give this one a bump, because I want to show off my new barlow :) I've decided I really like old barlows. I was lucky to find this one. Strong snap, excellent walk n talk with half stops. Blades are in pretty good shape. I'll slowly work out the nicks over time.

I'm glad that fine old barlow found a happy home and thanks a lot for posting all the great pics MadMonk! You have exquisite taste in Schrade. How can I be sure? Guess who got the seller to put up the second picture and was the second highest bidder? ;) "Swing 'n' a miss, you're out!" lol

You can't win 'em all and I could never afford it even if I could but here's a Cut Co that didn't get away from me. A 1936 or so "No. 8729GOLD Shac" 2-9/16" as seen the 1936 supplement. I don't want to steal MadMonks thunder though so I'll post two pics and a link to it's own thread with more detailed info: (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1046492-Cut-Co-quot-8729GOLD-Shac-quot-Oval-Lobster-SFO-for-Collins-Pine-Company)

Really nice collection! I've been yurning for one like that spear blade and I've never seen the butter and molasses before. Thanks for posting!

Does anyone know if SCC made a single blade grand dad barlow - i.e. small barlow?
Could swear I have seen pics but never come across one at shows or for sale.

The peach seed with clip is one of my favorite knives ever thanks for the pics.

I'm probably wrong, but I always thought that the Great Grand Dad Barlow's were larger than normal, not smaller?

Thanks, Saddlebum, tongueriver and wveah. My appreciation for the older Schrades continues to grow.

I haven't seen a Tiger Eye before and unlikely to see another... thanks for showing us, Larry.

Nice to see this old thread of mine still going. SCC knives aren't as common as the Waldens and the OT/UH line, so they sometimes get forgotten. I am sure I have a few more SCC's around somewhere, I am not very good at taking pics of my stuff.

Anyway, thanks for sharing these beauties!

Thank you tongueriver and glennbad. This little 3 1/4" cut co jack has what may be the beginnings of the peach seed style of jigging. the cuts in the bone are starting to angle towards one another. Then on the pile side things get a bit crazy.
