I'd probably join based on the price and what I would get
I'd be most interested on a newsletter/pdf on the history of USA Schrades
Like the stuff that pops up here all the time
The catalogs, the ads, the military order #'s, production #'s, old pictures of the factories, pictures of dudes in WWII with their can opener knives
If you wanna throw in some fluff about the Chinese Schrade's
A few ads under the guise of a "knife review" article
That wouldn't bother me a bit
I also agree that the Chinese knives only raise the value of the USA Schrades in the long run

Makes the REAL Schrades scarce
The ones with a REAL history
As far as a businessman's "motive" for starting up a collector club/society/guild===>
I could care less
It's the final product that I am offered is all that concerns me
If you gave me a free trial I'd sign up for sure
A sticker might do it to
Or a small pocket knife
I like contests
Something like win a oak display case with the Schrade logo etched in the glass
I don't care what font you use or what Schrade Era (Walden or Ellenville or Ireland) logo you use as long as it doesn't say China anywhere
I just realized that TennKnife Dude is the venerable auctioneer Mr. Voyles

Didn't know he was an author and knife historian as well
I thought he was the Cal Worthington of the knife auction world

(And I mean that as a compliment..believe me)
Sounds like he is well respected in the knife community:thumbup:
I've checked out his site a few times
I've always enjoyed his posts/knowledge here on BF
I'll have to add him to my Amazon book wish list
As far as the guy who bought the rights to the Schrade "name"
More power to him I say
I hold no ill will towards him as a USA Schrade knife collector
That is a great business move
I assume he can sell merchandise with the OLD Schrade logos?
Why not make some hats or t shirts or etched display cases with the Schrade Walden logo?
Those would be hot sellers I think
Then you could have a case for all your Schrade Waldens?
As long as it doesn't say China anywhere

That would drastically hurts sales
So what did Uncle Henry eat for lunch??
I'm dying to know
Did he pull out his whittler and start whittlin' toothpicks for everyone when he was done?
