Schrade Cutlery Collectors Society

I love reading this kind of history. I guess Albert Baer was a shrewd business man. If he were alive today, do you think he might have outsourced to China as well? I'd like to think not.

Yes, I do. In fact Imperial Schrade did outsource some knives, components and packaging to China (for the most part after the Baer brothers were gone). He was too shrewd to miss obvious economic opportunity. But also smart enough to not give away the "American Made" selling points.

We are more than half way through October and still no answer has been forthcoming as to the status of the Collector Society.

http://www.schradecollectors.com/ The "official" site is still up and unchanged since May 19th, 2009 (according to the site), including membership solicitation.

http://www.taylorbrandsllc.com/index.php?page=schrade-cutlery-collectors-society The TBLLC page for the Society is still up as well.

And an eBay seller from Dandridge, Tennessee is still dribbling out the club knives.
