I am looking for opinions on the quality of this pocket knife. I've been trying to locate one for a while locally at the gun/knife show so I could actually check one out. But, unfortunetly, I cannot find one. I know they have been out of production for some time. Were these models made in the U.S. or abroad? I'd like to get some feedback from anyone before I purchase one possibly through the bay. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chuck

I'm no expert, but the Heritage Series USA Schrades are generally attractive knives that were a special issue in the 80's.

1983 Schrade Heritage Green Bone Large Stockman, No. 8801, MINT

This one sold for $31.00 on Jan. 15th.

They come around fairly often, although not necessarily in that bone shade and pattern.

Here is an 8801 in red bone, from 1983...

It is a very nicely built example, IMO.

I have an old Heritage trapper 2941 in redbone that goes into my pocket every deer season, The shield is long gone and the blades are scratched up but I love the steel in this one even if it is SS.
