The BK2 is an awesome knife. Yes it's obnoxious, but that's what makes it fun. I've swung it like a hatchet to split wood at car camp. Its too much knife though for hiking.
My new CRKT Woods Chogan Tomahawk arrived this week. I have to say that it is really cool. The kid in me comes out again. I think I would rather swing that than a BK-2. But frankly it is about fun and I don't envision carrying that tomahawk on any trail hike where as I might a BK-2. But if I want that kind of weight, I'd probably opt for the BK-7.
I definitely want to handle a couple of the Schrades in 1095 (Griffin stuff). Looking forward to it and if things go as they typically do, I'll probably buy one to mess with. That is a few months away however.
