Thinking about getting one for hunting. Is it worth the extra money to get an older usa made one? Is any usa knock offs better, bear and sons, ridged or any like that?

I've got one of the newer ones. I got it a few years ago and it's held up well. For the price, it's worth it

If you buy a USA one be careful especially if it has wood handled. Lots of blades were bought during the liquidation and they were finished in China.

Get the old one Schrade USA one if you can.

Find one with a good patina and go forth.

They cut like hell, are easily sharpened, and carry very easily.

Right now Im specifically looking at one that says its unused store model, delrin handle, the rivets look to have minor rust, sheath, no box for 45.00

The US model is a great knife .
You won't regret it,even if it costs you more.

I don't think Schrade used steel rivets, so there shouldn't be rust.

I've seen some horrible Rigid knives.

Was just going by pics and assumed it was rust. Looks like some kind of blackish corrosion around edge of rivets.

Little rust, but I've neglected it for years on end, so pretty impressive

I have one of the old models sitting on the bench gathering dust.
I need to buy a sheath for it.
Any good sources for them?

I'm with the others, buy one and use it. I'm not sure how many I have but they are great blades. I always have one with me when I'm hunting. I don't know about the quality of the new imports but regardless of the name on the handle they are Taylor Brand not what I consider Schrade.

Big auction site always has a raft of them.

Or there are some very talented sheath makers here on our forum. The Sharpfinger rates a custom sheath.
