Linesman knife for splicing copper wire. Can't tell if it's a Uncle Henry, or not. Trying to date it/ estimate value of. It's in Great shape. Strong spring, nice chrome. Thanks!

Welcome. You need to be a gold member to ask for value on a knife. Also, if you do become a gold member, pictures would help.

I belong to many collectables forums. First one that requires money to communicate. Why is that? No money in collecting knives? I just have a nice collection going, and it's a hobby. I'm retired, and on a limited budget. Will have to reconsider belonging..... Thanks!

As a registered member you may ask other questions about the knife, but not its value.

There is a sticky at the top of this forum which explains the rule and the reason for it:

NEW MEMBERS :: Please read this :: WHAT IS MY KNIFE WORTH?

From Bladeforums rules:

WHAT IS MY KNIFE / GADGET / SPATULA / TUNING FORK WORTH ?!?!?!?!

In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. This rule applies throughout the site.

In other words, without a paid Gold membership, you don't get to ask about sale values. Too many people abused this question to hint they had a knife for sale, which you need that membership for.

Don't care about value, or selling. Just what style it is. If I could post a pic, then people could answer. Not looking to sell/buy//get rich, ect... Thanks!
