Picked this Schrade-Walden 225H on buy-it now for $35.00 a few weeks ago. It had only been listed for a short while and thought I would take a chance, It seems going by another I saw listed a week later that I indeed got a good deal. The knife was an SFO for ASTEN, a company that is in the papermaking industry. The knife was advertized as new and it certainly seemed that way when it arrived, very slight greening of some ares of the brass and dried factory oil on the joints, the blades are perfect with no patina or spots anywhere, for a knife that is 35+ years old seems to be in excellent shape.
as you can see in the photo I have not cleaned it and I don't think I will.
There have been a few things going round in my mind about how this may of came up for sale, geniune from someones collection, found in the Schrade factory during the sale and has just appeared, don't really know, although it did seem strange two appearing in a short space of time.
The links below are to firstly ASTEN, then my e-bay purchase and to the second e-bay offering that Ended yesterday.

Nice one Rusty1. I noticed they had some knives from Great Northern Paper Mills on the site also. Maybe it was an employee who liked collecting the company knives?
