Schrade/Walden Sears Craftsman Switchblade

Yes, that's right... This is a pre-ban automatic sold by Sears as a Craftsman procuct. This knife was manufactured somtime between 1946 and 1956(the year Congress banned the sale of automatic knives:thumbdn:).

The knife appears to have been ground down once upon a time, losing about 10% of its original length (broken tip perhaps?)

  • Blade is high carbon stainless 3'' long
  • Overall length is 7.25"
  • Handle is Orangy-red plastic in good condition, no cracking
  • Still fires like a champ and locks up!
  • Swing guard
  • Safety mechanism (slides under button to prevent firing) not functional.
  • "Craftsman" logo is etched into the blade, but you have to have a keen eye and perfect lighting to detect it.
