the one i have has the black synthetic handle, aluminum guard and buttcap, and roughly a 4.5" blade (fixed blade).
 
Add a pic or the tang marking or both your description is a bit vague there are quite a few models which fit what you describe.. I would guess a 148 or similiar model ( hollow plastic handle ) price would vary depending on condition and model. LT
