Schrade Warranty question

My problem is trivial compared to those of the poor Imperial Schrade employees, but I have to ask. Has anyone heard any rumors of what might become of knives that had been shipped to Schrade for warranty work? My SLW folder had been received by their cust service group in March, and was awaiting a backorder before shipping out a replacement.

All attempts at phoning have been fruitless, as I should have suspected. But, has anyone heard anything?

Thanks,
Probably SOL Mike

I hate to say this, but you could very well have seen your last of your knife (I certainly hope not though). Not that they would purposefully keep it, but with all that has happened there it may have been put on the back burner for good.
I think its been what, around four weeks ago that they closed their doors? I know that different comapnies have been looking at purchasing the factory, a tire company in particular has been interested.

Thats a good question you have!! The thing is what do tyou do when the e-mail there is no longer being checked, the lines are down, etc.?

Sad to hear. I'd like to know how that's going to work for those who have sent their knives in. Man, I was also hoping to see an improved version of the Cable-Lock (the ones I checked out at Wal-Mart were bad, I mean worst than "made in China" bad.), but it it's not going to happen. :(

Its very unfortunate. Now that the company is gone they probably do not care about being liable for holding peoples returns, repairs, etc. Afterall you can sue a company thats not around anymore. It was interesting I had noticed that they did try the "chineses market" and did have some knives made there right before the end (last year, or two?).
