Schrade

Mistwalker,
My comments about the handles being like torture devices mainly pertains to the SCHF 37 which I had to put a bicycle inner tube section over to make usable.

I totally get that one. I told Morgan when he did the 37 that he was basically copying the handle of the Boker Orca, but making it even less comfortable than it already was. I did the T&E for the Orca for Tactical Knives in 2010 so I was very familiar with that handle from several hours of use in the field. The Orca wasn't all that bad really, but the texture they added for the 37 in order to not actually copy the Orca handle, and the finer point on the pommel were not improvements in my opinion.

Mistwalker Mistwalker , any idea who designs and makes the SCHF52/52M models? I own these in 1095 and while they come about as dull as a butter knife and need a good sharpening, they seem tough and well made for the $30-something that I paid for each.

Those were two models that Morgan Taylor came up with as a stab at a Schrade bushcraft knife. I helped him tweak them a little to smooth up some rough edges.
