Sheath: Hand tooled leather sheath by Lovestrand
1/8" blade thickness and 3/4" blade depth. Blade is firm with little flex. Fileworked thumbrest. Tapered tang. Mammoth ivory handle has beautiful scrimshaw work by Lauria Lovestrand-Trout that is accented by the natural colors of the ivory. The only other scrimshawed knife she has done is on the cover of Knives 2007.
COMMENTS: This Beautiful Filet knife that is impeccably rendered in CPM-154 and 416-Stainless. And the stunning Mammoth Ivory handle has the most extraordinary colors, perfectly set off by the red fiber liners and BEAUTIFUL scrimshaw done by Schuyler’s wife. The blade has a wonderful hand rubbed satin finish and you could not ask for a cleaner or more crisp grind. This work can be compared in quality to anyone making knives today - and we mean anyone! You will not be disappointed.
