Does anyone know if Schwartz tactical is licensed by Fred Perrin or Emerson knives to make a titanium version of the la griffe? I know this may be the wrong place to ask and I may need to contact Mr. Perrin but figured someone here might already know. I've really been wanting to try both a la griffe and a titanium knife and if it is done with permission of Mr. Perrin would love to try one.

Perhaps a message or phone call to Schwartz Tactical would sort things out.

Also, why not just get a Perrin LaGriffe? They're less expensive and have his original blade shape, a spear point, which would be more versatile anyway.

Just curious.

I was looking at them due to the novelty of a titanium blade and also for the hooked profile more similar to the Emerson model, the blade would be carried strictly with self defense in mind. I have now learned that Mr. Perrin made some custom titanium models that can be had for nearly the same price.
