I would like to use my Sharpmaker to sharpen suture scissors (moustache trimming). The sharpener is old enough to predate the instructional video. Any guidance would be appreciated.
You do it like normal, keep the blade straight up and down. Theres a single slot on the side of the sharpmaker base to put in only one rod and you use that.
The key to sharpening scissors is just to treat them like a chisel-ground folder. They have a bevel on one side only. Sharpen that side, and strop the burr off the opposite side with a quick pass on the sharpening medium, being careful to keep the flat size as flat as possible (don't grind an edge onto it).
