The knife featured in knives.com as the editor's choice was in trade for an anvil, not just any anvil but a PEDDINGHAUS ANVIL. Not just any Peddinghaus anvil but a MINT CONDITION 100 pound Peddinghaus anvil. Peddinghaus, for those that are unfamiliar, are the only drop forged anvil made today, and are cream of the crop. And I have to say, I am not dissappointed with it. The quality seems to be as good as the reputation says. it's small, but stocky, so like the Jymm Hoffman it feels and works like an anvil that is bigger.

Not sure Hepclass though the PFP mark is known to be earlier then the modern Peddinghaus models. They are not cast, but drop forged.

Doggone Sam, That is a nice one.

Since I can't have it myself, I sure would love to see some pics of it all cleaned up.

thanks fellas!

Robert, I am gonna clean this one up to the 9s! wire wheel the whole body, polish the face to a mirror. I'll for sure take photos!

Can't wait to see it. Man, I would love to have that sitting in the middle of my living room. Who knows....... someday, I might just get around to using it.

Congrats on editor's choice. Seems like the perfect trade for you.

Any pics of the knife? My work network will not allow "Weapons" websites. I think from time to time what would have happened if my network did not allow me to see Bladeforums.com . Then I start thinking what I would do with all that money I would still have. :p
