I was torn between the $$ and the knife. I figured that in a month or two the $$ would be forgotten, but years from now I'd still have the knife. Besides, I felt it my duty to provide some stimulus to the knife industry.

Thanks. "Forgotten" is the wrong word; let's just say I should be over it in a couple months. How many times have I done this? . . . $850 here, $250 there, over the years it adds up.
