So, I saved up for some time in anticipation for the buck sale. I wasn't able to pull up much, just $240. Other bills and such got in the way, but it was all good. I mean, $240 is better than not going, right? Anyhow, we got there about an hour and a half before the store opened, and the line was still about fifty people long. It was all good, though. I chatted up Makael for the first time in person and screwed off on my phone. The hour and a half was up pretty quickly, and by the time we were in, the line snaked from the store door completely around the island, doubled up at the bathrooms and back to the exit door, where there were people waiting outside. I was one of those people waiting outside last year, by I learned better. Anyhow, into the store.
They had some pretty sweet stuff, but what caught my eye the minute I walked in was this here shiny new Kalinga. It was in the blem case for a total of $30. I had to have it. Most people weren't even in, and I had this beast it a carrying box. I heard someone ask about half a minute later if they could get one, and there was only one other one. So, that was cool! I loved Kalingas for quite some time now, but the price was just a touch too high. At $30, there was no way I could pass it up.

I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, they only had one of the three blades I intended to buy. No harm done, though. I was able to buy some other sweet blades besides. The one blade I knew I wanted was the Marksman. I have been wanting this one for a bit, so I was happy to spend the $60.

So, after I bought these two blades, I was on the hunt. The cash I had left over was just a burnin' a hole in my pockets. An idea popped into my head. I had recently totaled my assisted opening knife, so why not buy a new one? I came up to the counter and asked what they had for assisted opening. They had me at stonewash. So, off I walked, my new, and quite attractive assist in my box of loot.

I have liked the Buck stockmans for quite some time, so when I was this one for $10, I had to have it. Into the now heavy box it went.

My funds were dwindling pretty quickly now. I could make another large purchase, or a few smaller ones. An idea came into my mind. I had played around with the 124 Frontiersman some time ago at a local sports store, but it wasn't to be seen now. I came up to the counter one last time and asked if they might have one in the back. Just my luck, they did. The woman behind the counter set the box in front of me to inspect, and it was perfect. The person behind me stopped dead in his tracks. He quickly and desperately asked if he could check out the knife. With a grin, I handed him the beast. Not even twenty seconds later, he walked off, one of his own in his carrying box.

That concluded my buying. I was broke yet again. At the paying counter, the woman told me that I spent $220 and saved over $500. So, I would say that was a good deal!
