I understand that . My point is if you buy 5 different style of Kalingas, you will need to keep track of which Kalinga goes in which box. For example the numbers like 0110BO-XX, I know is a 110 Build Out. Buck has done approximately 38 of the 110 Build outs since 2005. So in order to keep track of the correct knife a (0110BO-38) I would put a note in the box like this (110 build out burlwood handle and Al Buck's signature on the blade 30 made). Buck has made Build Out lists in the past, and some of Buck's records are not so great. Here is an example of a duplicate 110 Build out.
0110BO-16 BOX BCCI STAMP, SATIN S30V BLADE, JIGGED BUFFALO INLAYS, BRASS, LEATHER SHEATH 30
0110BO-16 BOX MACASSAR EBONY BLK 560 BLADE LEATHER SHEATH 50
Two of the same BO number but different knives. So if you plan on collecting I would suggest you put notes in boxes. Plus regular run knives are even harder to find descriptions for. This is my opinion you can do what ever you would like.
BTW sorry for derailing your thread.
