So - I saw "Archerhere" showing off some of his new steel in the makers forums. His son demanded that he get a photo in of his knife.

When I saw that sweet blade - I knew I had to have it. I mean - come on - the kid is trying to save for a motor bike - you gotta fund the high quality products.

So - I made an offer - and he took it.

After searching for the blade - (I think it was at the BOTTOM of his toy chest) he is shipping it to me.

I think it is more of a fighter than a bushcrafter - but I will scare away ANY maurauder with this shive!

I should have it by next week.

So... kydex - or leather?

I don't know. If it weren't a tanto I might like it more....
 
Wow. Looks like a great user. Will that titanium nitride oxide laminated coating hold up well to cutting? I love the full guard, makes it much safer.

I think so - the maker assures me it is coated well. I mean - it did survive multiple days in his toy chest - it is probably tougher than anything I can throw at it!

I know truckers are hard to recruit/retain but had no idea Prime Inc was starting them so young! They must be offering free air ride booster seats.
 
What's that blade coating? I'm sure it protects from rust, but does it add extra friction when cutting through such materials as say Play-Dough or Barbie doll heads?
 
Man - you guys are out - this was a one of a kind father and son project! ;)

I thought it was cool that he had a project with his son - it has been even more of a joy to get the pics of his son.

I think I may have to do a head to head test with this knife and the bushtool.

Rick may have some competition! ;)

Why compete? Just make a piggyback carry system to combine the knife and the bushtool.

Its not fair to compare.... I quit school in grade 2. I'm clearly outclasssed here.... show some pity for Pete's sake.
