Scorpius question?

The C87 Scorpius Has a lanyard hole in it's tail,at least that's what's pictured in the catalogs.
How many & when were they made with lanyard hole moved about an inch or so towards the blade.
It sort of makes it look like a dolphins eye in that location!
Any info appreciated.

Don't know how many, but the Dolphin variation was the first. I believe Eric later decided to move the lanyard hole to its current location. I don't know if the Dolphin jokes had anything to do with it, but he felt it is a better location. I miss the Dolphin... :(
 
this is one of the mdoels i never see talked about , and would liek to hear more about .

As do I. I think it possible that the Dolphin hole was in an inconvenient position, but I still like the sheeple friendly look of it.

Hey Rick,

I am the lucky owner of an "old-style" PE scorpius and you are completely right, it looks like a a dolphin to me, too. (I don't care that new scientific results suggest that dolphins may not be very intelligent at all - I had the luck to play around with 3 of them for a few minutes and they left a lasting impression on me)

I never fully understood why the "eye" was moved, the new position may be better for lanyard attachment but the looks of the old version are superior. Additionally, if used as an impact device, the lanyard may be in the way with the new design.

Bring back the dolphin! :D

I really like the looks of the scorpius. I have never handled one and only seen it in pics, how does it compare sizewise to say the native::confused:
