Scotch-Brite treatment

Could just be the pic I suppose, but the space between the blade and lockbar side looks off too. Looks like it has much more space on that side.
 
Almost forgot ... someone asked for pics of the jimping. The custom jimping on this one voided the warranty but it's still CRK perfect in spite of age and use. Not sure who sharpened it last but they did an almost factory job.

Technically, I dont think they were going for jimping, that is more like "file work" done for decoration/pimping.

It is a bit tougher to do correctly than many might think...especially on hardened steel. It is easy to "do", but anyone that has an eye for detail can see the difference between good file work and a hack job (especially in person).

I am surprised that this would void the warranty....I mean, it makes sense that any failure related to that work would be the owner's problem, but the rest of the knife and service/SPA treatments seem like they ought to be unaffected by that. (shrug), guess its one more thing I learned today;)
