I made my first el cheapo wannabe knife when I was around 9yrs old by sharpening a spoon tang on concrete and epoxying some popsicle stick handles to it. I finished it off with a touch of electrical tape around the handles and a makeshift sheath also with pop sticks and tape. It was ugly as hell though so that might not count :D

I am just a knifenut :thumbup:

Aha! I knew it ...

I'd say you're more than just a knifenut. Heck, I'M a knifenut ... and I haven't a drop of your skill. Clearly, making knives ... or at least modding them ... gives you a better and truer appreciation of knives than the rest of us porcine louts.

Keep it up. One of these days, I predict you'll pick up a billet ... and a knife will pop right out. :thumbup:;)
 
i think ANYONE on the Busse forum HAS to be classified as a knife knut!!!! not just anyone drops $162 bucks on a knife as small as the scotch dispenser!! :) I have bought 2 of them and couldnt be happier with them! $ well spent as far as i am concerned! :)

I'll post pictures as I get things done, but they don't just happen in minutes. I have to make some slitting saws for the handle to fit in the micarta, attach the handle, then shape it, it all takes time!

Yep, enclosing the tang with micarta to extend the handle is pretty time consuming. Take your time man :thumbup: They will just have to wait ;)
