scotchman cold saw blades

....anybody know what these sawblades are made of? they are hard hard hard and will not anneal, ive got a couple of these and am working a knife blade from one now, hard and slow grind and emery cloth hand polish won't touch it. advice/answers welcome!

They are made of High Speed Steel, You are right, they do not anneal. They are for cold cut off metal cutting saws. I sharpen them for metal fab. places at my sharpening shop. Not a good choice for knife blades, too brittle for thin edges.
