Went down to blade west and saw all the great knives and shared some knive talk with a bunch of great guys. Cut my pinky with my own knife. Helpful hint #37 If you make a razor sharp automatic, make sure you engage the lock EVERY time you put it in your pocket. Thanks to Wood Chuck forge for the bandades. Talk about feel like a dumbass.

Anyway afterwards went over to Scott and Linda's and had some food and drink. Great people and great host. THANK YOU. A raft of people showed up and it was a great time. I am horrible at names and would forget someone so will not get in to the whos whos. I will say there was an well known Arsonist and some guy with a sack of onions. We talked about knives and used a couple choppers to hack water bottles. I was not surprised to find out skill is every bit as important as sharp. Not surprised by what you can learn from a killer maker. A couple guys had the wifes along and it was a pleasure to met some nice women that knew alot about knives too.

Anyway thanks to every one for making it a very enjoyable evening. Special thanks to Linda and Scott.

I to would like to thank Scott and Linda! I was a little late arriving because I didn't want to leave my anvil in the back of my truck for fear of a tweaker running off with my anvil and scraping it out so I dropped my truck off at home and rode out with Adam. Great food and a good time not to mention some really good beer. Thanks again!

Yes I want to thank Scott and Linda too. Man O Man what a great time with good food and company. That was a real treat after eating at fast food joints for 2 days to have a home style barbeque meal with some of the finest people we know. Not everybody would open their new home and invite knife makers they havent even met yet for a free meal and beer and fine wine. Scott and Linda did. Thanks so much you two.

It was just as enjoyable for us as it was for all of you. We had a wonderful time. We have a nice bag of Walla Walla sweet onions from Bruce. I used some of it Sunday morning to carmelize and stir into my eggs and potatos for breakfast. Gotta love a great, sweet onion. Thanks Bruce!

Thanks to all of you. I was very pleased that Ray made it over. I can't remember all of the names either, so won't try to list them.

I'm just glad that you all had a good time. Come back next year, because it will be happening every year that Blade keeps the West show in Portland.

Wanted to and my thanks also for putting the BBQ on, and thanks for letting us cut up all your water bottles. I had a great time.
