Scott Anderson..once again I gotta say never again!

hm, to me it seems like their were some communication problems on his end.

English may not of been his native langauge.......

Sounds to me like this guy had alot going on and the deal wasn't on the top of his priority list. He may have been trying to juggle to many rubber balls at the same time and forgot the details of the deal. You didn't have his focus or attention on this deal. He needed to stop and focus but he didn't until it was too late.

RDT, I won't comment on the transaction but I will say that I think it was great of you to hold off other offers until you heard back from him...I've had people sell knives in the three hours it took for me to reply with a confirmation that I was taking the knife...some people have no etiquette

Ren, after looking at your e-mails above and then looking at the For Sale posts(2 of them) the problem may be he did not see your second post. It seems the offer he replied to was your post on 5/12, "5 for monday". As I read further, you added 2 knives to the deal from your post on 6/1, "two more for ya". If he was unaware of the post it would seem that he was correct in questioning the deal in the bottom e-mail(1st sent?). Reading the e-mails you provided, from bottom to top, and again allowing for his not knowing about a second posting, his confusion seems justified. More confusion is added from his e-mail on 4 June( I don't see a reason for his confusion, but he is apparently).
what I see still left is the Reflex, 3500, AFO & silver and black one
I count 4 knives there. In your reply, you confirm his error.
That is correct...$550 shipped for them all including shipping
Maybe I am out of line, but based on the info you provided in this post you seem to me to have been a part of the communication problem. I think you are a bit out of line calling him a moron etc. Obviously there is more to all this, but again with the info provided here, he does not seem to be on drugs or a moron.

droopy,,
he had responded in the title line of both of his original emails.(edited to add that the titles of his emails were the titles of both my posts..).that he wanted all the knives on both posts..I have not posted the entire email thread cause its on three different computers..but this is the lion share.. there was some confusion again understandable about what was sold..but there were pictures on each post and all sold items were marked as sold..there is no way that this was a mistake..he was a moron..beware of him..fortunatly it only cost me a week of emails and a few lost deals..I also have not heard from him since I told him the deal was off..probably busy smoking crack!

Ren,
I have nothing but respect for you, I have learned quite abit from reading your posts. As I said there had to be more to get you so upset. With the new info provided however, I must respectfully disagree with you...

I vote for Moron figuring out how to twiddle his thumbs:D

One of the great things about sellin knives over the net is its simplicity.Whenever I sell a knife I say what it is and what I want for it,end of discussion. If that person does not respond I sell it simple as that. When I buy from someone I am fully prepared before I make the first e-mail to say I will take it.Once for example I had a Knives wanted to buy post,so I got several e-mails about the said knife.Out of three offers only one person told me what they had and what they wanted which happened to be a good price so I took it.In effect dont jerk me around if you wanna sell me somethin tell me what you want.Other than a description of the knife I never engage in any conversation I never saw the point or reason.I never give telephone numbers either,I mean what more is there to discuss?I guess my point is that I would have just sold the knives to someone else if he never responded in three days time.

I had a 250.00 trade with scott and used a lot of caution due to this post, but I must say not only did he do everything he said... he also sent me a free microtech hat and because I do not like SE blades he went to a knife show and traded his SE for a plain edge utx70.just my $0.02

well, if you read his (alwilliam) post, this is the one that gave him pause about doing business with scott, so this would be where he responds to give his opinion.

I can live wit dat! :) but Scott is on my pooh list forever..

Ren the only part of this thread that disturbs me is that you let this nonsense bother you. TROLL....its obvious....you do to much over the net to deal with nonsense. move on and caulk it up. I feel your pain bro :-) :) just cause a guy does a couple of good deals dosent make the one that goes sour right! IMHO.

Loandr.

Ren,

In his e-mail he sends you this

"what I see still left is the Reflex, 3500, AFO & silver and black one
correct? now what is the total? and I will beam you"

Now you confirmed these are the knives that are left? I only see 4 knives there also?

Unless the silver and black one are two different knives?

to end this discussion hopefully? This attempted sale went on via three weeks and several computers (home, office, laptop). this is only part of the email trail..often in the course of trying to settle the deal Scott would dissappear for days or up to a week. When I repeatedly emailed him if he was still interested in the deal he would not respond untill when I told him the deal was in jeapordy. THen he would again ask for clarification on which five knives, or which price..or how many knives was that again?? It was wierd and freaky..when we finally agreed he would dissappear again..I wrote him a email asking him not to contact me in the future because he was a moron and the deal was off. My knives, My decision, My opinion he was jerking my chain for a laugh.. I told him to Phuck off.. end of discussion..
