I don't think of the "large" as anything but larger than the "small". It is not a large knife to me. In fact, I wish it had a 5 inch blade! ...but I sure do like Scott's work. I'm a practical sort of guy, retired military. I always think of my knives in relation to "could I carry this knife for military field duty?" So I have shied away from wood or stag handles, beautiful as they may be. ...but when I saw Scott Cook set up at a Boise sportsman's show, I had to look, and he had an ironwood handle that was so beautiful, I had to have it. If I remember correctly, it is the one used for the picture on his website, full ironwood slabs, not shrunken, in S30V. If it had a tapered tang, it would be very near perfect!
He's a very skilfull maker, much attention to detail, and I expect if he branches out to a couple of alternative blade shapes and lengths, he'll be an even more sought after maker.
