For Sale - Scott Sawby Combat Utility folder with his patented self lock. The self lock is essentially a spring loaded cam built into the tang where the blade pivots. For more info on of how this works, you can see the patent here. It’s interesting and has a few diagrams showing the cam and how it works. http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4604803.pdf
The knife was recently built from an order I placed well over two years ago and only recently received. As much as I like the knife, I’m not using it and haven’t carried, cut or sharpened it.
The bolsters show very faint swirl marks at their high point and a very fine scratch on the main pin securing the pocket clip. I’m not able to get these to show in the current pictures. If requested I’ll try to provide better images.
The blade is CPM 154, although this one is not marked like some others and has the high polish finish instead of the more common satin. The dove-tailed Sambar stag scales are better quality than others I’ve seen. The knife is ambidextrous with knurled thumb studs on both sides of the blade.
The tolerances on this knife are tight and the work detailed. I don’t often see a Scott Sawby Knife that hasn’t sold out. They can be hard to come by.
I’m selling this Knife as is. No Trades. Please ask questions if you have them. If you agree to purchase please be certain this knife is for you. It’s a done deal once the knife is purchased. I’ll do my best to answer questions to your satisfaction before a deal is finalized.
I ship USPS insured priority with adult signature required. I accept PayPal at… sales@mydogscool.com
Price - $850- shipping is included in the price. Sorry, this knife ships within the US only.
