This Scott Sawby Combat Utility has a crack on the side with Scotts name at the middle pin. It runs from the top to the bottom. (It cracked when I sat it down on a counter this past winter.) It also has a small crack on the same side near one end. In short, the stag was too brittle.
Ive contacted Scott and it will cost $200 to replace the scales. This knife cost me $995, but Im selling it for $600. It has been lightly carried. If you want a brand spankin new knife from Scott you can get on his list and get one about a year from now. If you want a great carry knife from Scott this one would serve you well.
The steel bolsters have some light scuffs. The blade length is 3.5 inches, Open the knife is 7 inches.
The blade is powdered Swedish stainless Damascus. It is very toothy and cuts quite well. The lock is Scotts self-lock that he patented.
Money order is fine. PayPal add 3 percent. $12 for shipping, insurance and delivery confirmation in CONUS. Im not interested in trades. Thanks for checking it out.
The big crack is on this side (insert crack joke of your choice here)
Here's an attempt at showing said crack.
And here is the side that has no cracks.
